Celebrations and Events

End of an Era! Goodbye Year 6!

Today we say goodbye to our lovely Year 6. We are sad to see them go but excited to see where they end up in the future.

Year 6 celebrated their last full day with games, shirt signing and a bespoke lunch! Many thanks to our fabulous lunch staff who made each child's favourite lunch for their last meal. Scroll through a few of their last photos at St George's!

Footballing Stars! Well done to our amazing Girls Team - they have played brilliantly this year and have won the summer league. We are so proud of you all!

14th July Mad Hatter's Tea Party! Mrs Quick arranged for a special celebration today...a tea party for all the children in KS2 who have shown exceptional behaviour this year. Well done everybody!

June 25 2025 MADCOS indoor summer games.

Some of our year 4 and 5 children were selected to take part in the MADCOS summer indoor games this afternoon. THEY WON! Fantastic effort everyone.

Thanks to @Maghull High for organising.

Wear Blue day

23rd May 2025- Our whole school community came together today to support our lovely member of staff Miss Hopkinson. We wore blue (her favourite colour) and held a hugely popular cake sale! As a school we raised £660 - a huge thanks to all our families.

We continue to pray for Miss Hopkinson and her family x

First Holy Communion

Over the last 2 Saturdays our year 4 children celebrated their First Holy Communion. They have been working hard with their parents over the last year to get ready for their special day. We had fantastic reading, singing and a moving signed song. Well done year 4!

St George's Day

Sticking with tradition....the traditional date and traditional ice cream celebrations! Happy St George's Day!

CAFOD - The Big Lent Walk

28.3.25

Today our school family took part in the Big Lent Walk! We had parents, grandparents, people on crutches all walking, running and dancing with our children to raise money for CAFOD. The torrential downpour did abruptly end the walk but we still had fun and a bit of chaos thrown in for good measure!

In this Jubilee year of hope we are being 'Pilgrims of hope' to raise money and show solidarity for our sisters and brothers experiencing poverty around the world. We helped to raise nearly £300 - a massive thanks to all our fabulous families!

Pilgrims of Hope Launch

January

We are celebrating a Jubilee Year this year - Year of Hope.

We have been called to be Pilgrims of Hope - to work together to replant, repair and renew our world.

We have watched the launch materials and thought about our hopes for the future.

Please follow along with us on our journey this year.

Year 4 Reconciliation

21st January 2025

A huge well done to our year 4 children who made their sacrament of Reconciliation tonight. Each child chose a stone from our altar display to represent the weight of wrong choices they have made. Each stone was a different shape, size and with a variety of imperfections. These stones were 'given back' after they had made their Reconciliation as a visual sign of God's forgiveness. Thank you to Fr Chris and Fr John for their beautiful service.

St George's Annual Santa Dash

We braved the cold to complete our annual Santa Dash! Hot chocolate and cake for competitors - all money raised to go towards some new reading books.

December 2024 Junior Tableaux

It's that time of year again! Our junior children have practiced, perfected and performed our Christmas Tableaux in Church. We have some wonderful performers who really put their all into the singing, signing and expression. The tableaux is a simple and effective way to bring the Nativity story to life though scripture, prayers and reflections. A super effort in a packed out Church. Well done everyone!

27th Sep Macmillan Coffee Morning

Our Spirit Squad helped to organise today's fabulous coffee morning. They designed posters and invites, made cakes, sold cakes and welcomed parents and parishioners. Over £300 raised. Well done!
