Welcome To Nursery

At St. George's we understand how important the early years are in shaping the person each child will become. We wish for our children to be confident learners, who gain knowledge through experiences and experimentation, through communicating their ideas and thoughts,in a setting that nurtures their own innate curiosity to learn, within the comfort of experienced and caring staff, who endeavour to provide each child with the very best educational start.

We love to learn through practical, fun and meaningful experiences. We focus on developing core skills to help us as future learners. We spend lots of time outdoors developing our physical skills, bodily control and co-ordination.

We will aim to post regular photographs and updates on our Class Dojo and Instagram page @StGeorgesL31   

Snack

We provide a morning snack for the children on a daily basis. We appreciate a donation of £10 at the beginning of each half term towards the cost of snack.

Water bottles

Please send in a water bottle labelled with your child's name so that they can have a drink throughout the day.

Drop off

The start time for all is 8:50am. The Nursery door will promptly shut at 9:00am, with any late-comers reporting to Mrs. Jones' office.

Pick up time

If your child attends nursery for the morning session only, please collect your child from the nursery door at 12:00pm. If your child attends nursery for a full day, please pick your child up from the nursery door at 3:00pm. We offer wrap-around care from 3:00-3:30 which is £2 per session and can be booked on the School Spider app.

If somebody new is collecting your child, please let one of the nursery staff know in person or via a message on Dojo, and please also ensure they have the password for collection.

Every day is an open day and we would be delighted to share our practice with you. If you would like to visit us, please contact Mrs. Jones, via the school office.
