We praise your holy name,

and thank you for giving us

this lovely new day.

Thank you for the world so sweet,

Thank you for the food we eat,

Thank you for the birds that sing,

Thank you God

For everything! Amen.

 

Going Home Prayer:

Tick Tock, Tick Tock                                     Tick Tock, Tick Tock

we have a fast clock                                     Half past three is here now

tick tock, tick tock                                        Thank you, thank you for the day.

off to school,                                                Every minute of the day,

Hurry up or you'll be late                               You've been there for work and play

Praise the Lord we're on our way                   Tick tock, tick tock

Tick tock, tick tock                                        We're going home.

We're off to school.

 

Alternative Going home prayer (children's choice)

Children will also be introduced to a number of traditional prayers throughout their time in the Foundation Stage:
