Many thanks for all of your generous gifts over the Advent season. The aim is that gifts of one colour are handed in. These can then be made into a rainbow of gifts and added to other schools in the area before being donated to those in need. Unfortunately this was halted due to lockdown but we are hoping that the gifts will get to their destination ASAP.

We are back together in school but we are all in our little bubbles. So close but still far apart! We have been unable to get together for assemblies or school worship but we wanted everyone to know that we are still all in this together. We made a tree of hope in the hall before Christmas and each child made an ornament to put onto the tree. The children wrote prayers and hopes for the future. Each time the children looked at the tree they would feel hope about the future. (then we got locked down again!)

Christmas at St George's

Christmas has been a very different experience this year. We have however made the most of it having a Santa dash, disco, video afternoons and Christmas crafts. We also squeezed a little bit of festive singing. Merry Christmas everyone. Stay safe.

Christmas at St George"s

This Advent every class wanted to spread a little joy, peace, hope and love. They chose one of the themes to create a window for parents to see. Take a look at the pictures below.
This week the children have been remembering all those who have died in the wars. Lots of prayers were said, poppies made and poems decorated. Children also learned the Eternal Rest prayer. All of the children were extremely respectful and reverent, well done!
